{"id":151,"date":"2018-07-07T16:54:04","date_gmt":"2018-07-07T13:54:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hubs.org.ua\/en\/?page_id=151"},"modified":"2019-01-28T23:18:37","modified_gmt":"2019-01-28T21:18:37","slug":"what-is-the-network","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.hubs.org.ua\/en\/about-us\/what-is-the-network\/","title":{"rendered":"What is the Network?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The network of hubs in Ukraine is a voluntary association of regional the leading organizations of the civil society of Ukraine, which systematically and effectively influences the development of civil society, social cohesion, human rights, democratic change and increasing the capacity of communities.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the Network is joint actions to promote the development of civil society in Ukraine, support for democratic transformation and strengthening the voice of the community.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, 9 civil society organizations (hubs) from different regions of Ukraine received assistance from UNDP in order to strengthen democratic governance, financial stability, membership management and volunteering, as well as the implementation advocacy practices to better serve those segments of Ukrainian society with which they work.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015-2018, the Network implemented a joint project \u201cUkrainian Regional Platform for Social Initiatives\u201d (with the financial support of the European Union). It concerned the development of local and emerging CSOs in the target regions. Within the framework of the project, the members of the Network implemented a sub-grant program, which supported 116 local projects and initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, another 6 organizations joined the Network and were selected by UNDP in Vinnytsya, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Mykolayiv and Khmelnytsky regions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strategic Directions of the Network:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Strengthening the organizational capacity of CSOs and support initiative groups for the development of sustainable civil society at the regional and local levels.<\/p>\n<p>Development of the capacity of the Network as a unique national association of regional-level organizations<\/p>\n<p>Promoting the development of democracy and participation in decision-making processes at the national, regional and local levels through the introduction of a human rights-based approach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Today the network includes 15 organizations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Non-governmental organization<\/em>\u201cCIVIL HOLDING &#8220;GROUP OF INFLUENCE\u201d (Kyiv)<\/li>\n<li><em>Non-governmental organization<\/em>\u201cTerytoria Uspikhy\u201d(Kropyvnitsky)<\/li>\n<li><em>Non-governmental organization<\/em>\u201cAccess Point\u201d(Kramatorsk, Donetsk region)<\/li>\n<li>Charitable foundation \u201cCentre for Civil Initiatives\u201d (Perechyn city, Zakarpattia region)<\/li>\n<li>Rivne Region Public Organization \u201cCommittee of Voters of Ukraine\u201d (Rivne)<\/li>\n<li>Charitable organization \u201cCommunity Foundation of Kherson Zakhyst\u201d(Kherson)<\/li>\n<li><em>Non-governmental organization<\/em>\u201cMART\u201d (Chernihiv)<\/li>\n<li>Civic organization \u201cCenter for civic and cultural initiatives support \u201cTamarisk\u201d Center (Dnipro)<\/li>\n<li>Volyn regional CSO \u201cVolyn Institute of Right\u201d(Lutsk)<\/li>\n<li>Zhytomyr Regional Youth Public Organization \u201cModern Format\u201d (Zhytomyr)<\/li>\n<li><em>Non-governmental organization<\/em>\u201cPodil law liga\u201d(Khmelnytsky)<\/li>\n<li><em>Non-governmental organization<\/em>\u201cInstitute of Analysis and Advocacy\u201d(Poltava)<\/li>\n<li><em>Non-governmental organization<\/em>\u201cSpring of hope\u201d(Vinnytsya)<\/li>\n<li><em>Non-governmental organization<\/em>\u201cAgency for economic development\u201d(Voznesensk, Mykolaiv region)<\/li>\n<li>Center \u201cWomen\u2019s Perspectives\u201d, <em>Non-governmental organization<\/em>(Lviv)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The network operates on the basis of the Constitution and legislation of Ukraine, the Memorandum of Cooperation of December 16, 2017.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The network of hubs in Ukraine is a voluntary association of regional the leading organizations of the civil society of Ukraine, which systematically and effectively influences the development of civil society, social cohesion, human rights, democratic change and increasing the capacity of communities.
